I've sold on eBay for over ten years
I sell mostly clothing and shoes
I only use buy it now rather than auctions, I Price at say £14.99 with best offer with the idea that £12.99 is what I'd like to get for the item.
I find having the best offer switched on encourages people to buy
It's a win win for me because sometimes they pay full price
I always add postage separately
wrap and pack your items carefully , I have a lint roller from £1 , all clothing gets a final once over with this before popping it into a poly mailer
I bulk buy poly mailing bags on eBay to post my items . Works out v cheap about 5 p a mailer
Take photographs against a white background , shoes sit on a white chest of drawers in my bedroom against a white wall ,nothing fancy but good for fuss free images
I always use all 12 photos
Keywords are essential, use them all
So for example if you have a Coast dress size 12 you can cram loads in such as :
Coast 12 green silk lined teadress wedding Races cap sleeves belt
To include all the features etc
I don't put the word " ladies " in my title for ladies dresses etc as your item will be listed in the woman's clothing / dresses category so no need to add ladies in the description
I also have a measuring tape and include lengths of skirts and dresses etc in description
I post all my items within one day as prompt postage is expected from buyers these days
I do everything through the EBay app on my phone
Haven't used a laptop for eBay for years
The app is so much quicker plus the camera on an I phone is great for taking photos .
