Does a 'watcher' usually mean they'll bid?! And a question about Paypal!

ooh - I'm horribly excited - have got someone watching my item - does that usually lead to a bid?

Also, and I know this is going to sound like a very silly question, but once you've got money in Paypal, how do you get it out - to a bank account or something??

I watch lots of items without bidding on them. I probably only bid on about five percent of the items I watch.

I've also had 40 people watching an item of mine then only three bid and it was a very dissapointing end price.

That said, you can never tell until the very last moment what your item is going to go for. I find ebay unpredictable, which I guess is part of the excitment.

Good luck.

My dh is an ebay fiend - he sometimes watches things just for price comparisons. I wouldn't bank on it being a bid.

You can transfer money from Paypal into your bank account electronically.

I'll be gutted if I don't get a bid!! Got 5 days to go though, so will just have to be patient.

Must investigate the Paypal thing...

I never bid until the last 30 seconds.

Watchers don't translate well into bidders ime

you can move paypal money to your bank account but you need an upgrade from the basic account level to do this - once you are paying fees to paypal on income received you will also be able to withdraw funds. You need to transfer a minimum of £50 each time to avoid further charges though.

Good luck! Lots of watchers can mean no bids but the reverse is also true

You can transfer £50 or more to your bank. Below that you get charged I think. Takes about 5 days to process.

You need to go through a few checks first. they deposit a few pence in your account and you log the amount on Paypal to confirm you've received it. that might take a few days to organise.

A lot of people watch an item they are thinking of selling themselves - just to see how it goes etc. But good luck anyway.

Once set up for transfering funds into your bank account it's very simple and takes about 5 days to complete. A withrawal of less than £50 costs 25p

I often watch an item and see how it devellpes, and if the price stays low, then I will bid, but only then!
And yes, most people will bid at the last minute!
