Over £600.00
5.25%of the initial £29.99 (£1.57), plus 3.25% of the initial £30.00 - £599.99 (£18.53), plus 1.75% of the remaining closing value balance

have a look on ebay sellers section, there are the fees listed for car sales.
its % of the total sale.
i think prob roughly the same as putting in auto trader etc...
HTH.

free car listing this weekend

charliecat · 16/03/2007 19:20

It's not often you get something for free, but this weekend you can list any car (or other type of vehicle) on eBayMotors.co.uk for free using the Auction-style, Auction-with-Buy It Now or Buy It Now Only (Fixed Price) formats.

The normal Insertion Fee for vehicles is £8 each. Terms and conditions apply.

WE tried to sell our Citroen Berlingo a couple of weeks ago with a reserve of £2800 and it didn't go. Dh's theory is that Ebay is fine if you're looking to sell something that'll be a real bargain for someone, otherwise just use the local paper.

Ours was listed twice.

Anyone want a 2002 Berlingo btw?

divamumplus · 17/03/2007 19:43

we sold mg classic, and we had reverve and buy it now, it went up last minute sold it to abroad. depends what car, i think it cost the as advertising on auto trader.

scatterbrain · 17/03/2007 19:47

I've sold two card via ebay - but off ebay !

Nothing naughty - I put reserves on both and neither met the reserves but came close. The high bidders emailed and made me a slightly higher offer and offered to buy that day for cash, so I took it - so I paid a listing fee but no % of selling price.

The listing price is cheaper than auto-trader and you avoid the interminable phone calls from trade mags wanting to advertise your car !

I would recommend it !

dh has sold loads of cars on ebay and bought a fair number as well.

they do take a bit in fees and I would avoid paypal payments for it.

Bobsmum I would love a berlingo but I need an automatic and I dont think they do one
