How long since you paid?
Email the seller and ask where the item is.
Did you pay via Paypal? If so, you can start a complaint via them.

How long since you paid? I'd give it a week or so then contact the seller to chase. One more week for a response then contact Ebay. If it's lost in the post, the seller can claim a refund via the Royal Mail, as I've done in the past, then refund you.

You don't live in the Highlands do you, by any chance? If it was you who bought a size 14 Cherokee t-shirt from me 2 weeks ago, then I'm really sorry but I only got it in the post this morning!!!

You dont have to refund them ,as they didnt ask for recorded delivery then its not realy your fault, if you have proof of postage you could post it to them to prove you posted the item, the problem is they may leeve you feedback. I had an item go missing last week so i refunded as it was'nt much to save getting bad feedback, my feedback is high so did'nt want to ruin it.

Yeah I am up to 500 so don't want to spoil it,will chase up PO though

On quite a few occasions I have asked the buyer to check with their local sorting office or with their neighbours - they have 'always' turned up in the end.

the PO requires you to wait a certain length of time before they consider an item lost. You can use your receipt as POP and claim a refund from the PO. Refund your buyer and hopefully get posFB

Well it was file dividers so should have fitted through the letter box but said to try PO, I will refund when he gets back to me and chase up PO refund. It was nearly 3 weeks ago too.

Hi
I have my own ebay shop & I have to disagree with Marne. As a seller (business trader or personal seller) your part of the contract is to get the item to the buyer whether they opt for recorded delivery or not.
The standard email that I use is cut and pasted below. Copy and amend as you find best.
If you do have to claim from Royal Mail the sender (you) has to do so. There is no onus on the buyer. Best policy is to refund if it hasn't turned up after 15 working days.

LOST ITEM FIRST EMAIL
Hi
Sorry to hear that your item has not yet arrived.
It was posted on the xth. It was packed into an A4 brown envelope which may have been to big for your letter box.
It's worth checking that your neighbours have not got it for you and giving your local delivery office a ring to see if they have taken it back to the depot but have forgotten to leave a card.
I'm afraid that Royal mail do not consider an item to be lost until 15 working days after the expected delivery date. In your case this will be on xxxxx
If the package does not arrive by then and you have checked at your local delivery office please contact me again and I will arrange a refund / replacement.
Please contact me if the package arrives in the next couple of days or if you have any further queries.
