Protecting yourself from dodgy buyers?

I've sold tons of stuff on ebay over the years and not really had many problems. However, there are a few things I want to sell now and I'm inclined to be a bit cautious. The items are amber necklaces - probably worth a few hundred pounds each. I've never sold anything this expensive before and was wondering if there's anything I can do to protect myself from dodgy buyers? I've thought of a couple of things: I can weigh the necklaces and include a photo showing the weight and can include a picture of the amber under ultra violet light (I understand it glows under this light). I'm just a bit nervous that a buyer could claim that what I've sold is fake and try to get a refund (and I really need this money!)

Any other ideas how I could protect myself? Thanks.

That's the risk you take with eBay, I'm afraid.

However, you have the right idea, take plenty of photos and copy and documentation that came with the jewellery. maybe I'm slightly paranoid, but I wouldn't post abroad, UK only.

Also, make sure you take adequate insurance when posting any high value items.

Everything as above and don't forget to have available any receipts you may have from original purchase if you have them, don't accept any bids from abroad just because some Countries don't adhere to our tracking systems and you could loose your items, just be careful and you should be OK.
