Ebayers - do you reckon I could sell a window on Ebay?

We're having some work done on our house and have taken out a couple of windows. One of them is only a couple of years old, it a huge Anglian uPVC one but a sash style so it looks prety smart. I know it cost more than a grand to buy and install originally as the people who sold us our house left us the bill. Do you think someone might buy it on ebay? Seems mad to chuck it.

No harm in trying!! You can sell most things on ebay!

Or you could freecycle it instead of sending to the tip.

I would definitely give it a try on ebay

I sold a fireplace once! It was a huge Elgin & Hall fancy plaster surround, marble insert and hearth and gas fire. Took the photos while it was still in place and got the new fireplace installers to take it out carefully and put it in the garage. It cost about £2,000 and I only got £100 for it, but at least it brought in something, and also went to a good home to someone who wanted it, instead of to the tip. Saved me the price of a skip too. I'd definitely give it a go, just don't expect too much, and start low.

Oh, and make sure you make it "buyer to collect"!

I would stick it on there-anything goes!
My aunt sold a window on Ebay, although it was a nice stained glass one,but that shouldn't make a difference.Let's us know how you get on.

Thanks for the replies -I will give it a go! Shazronnie - will def freecycle if I can't ebay it, good idea. We've freecycled some other stuff, a fridge and a tv but I hadn't thought about building stuff too.
