I have been trying to look at measurements of an item I sold in January/ February but I can't seem to work out how to view items sold over 60 days ago. Is it possible?

no, it's not. They drop off, you can make a list in "my lists" and renew this to keep things a bit longer I think, eg make a list called "sold items" and add things to it. Not sure if this stays longer but think so. You can get the sale details money wise from paypal or from old invoices maybe. You can also keep 10 listings as a selling template which does stay put.

The interesting thing here is that a buyer can open a dispute via the Paypal Resolution centre within 180 days of making a payment. I wonder if there's going to be buyers opening cases once the listing has disappeared claiming things that can't be disproved.

How annoying and rather odd really. I would have expected to be able to view back as long as I wanted . Oh well. Will look at the list option. I agree it makes disputes interesting.

If you received payment through paypal then you can view historic transactions, I know from experience that they go back at least 18 months but probably further if needed though it can take up to 24 hours to generate a report.
However the paypal information does only show the title of a listing so unless your measurements were part of that it won't be much use to you.

I always keep a copy of the listing and packing slip when I sell an item and file them electronically on my laptop just in case of a future query. I appreciate that probably sounds a bit anal but I got caught out by the longer paypal claim time in my early days as a seller on ebay and decided I would never leave myself open to that again.
It does involve a tiny bit more admin on my part but it has come in handy on a couple of occasions since when I've needed proof as to what the original listing stated and also once where a buyer had moved house between order and delivery and they tried to claim not received but I could prove i'd sent to the address they gave at the time.

Thanks maybe I will start doing that. How do you copy the listing?
I still find it odd you can't go back further

I take a screen shot of every listing and save it to my documents file for future reference and as for any sales I just simply copy and paste the invoice / packing slip into a word document.
Like I said it is a tiny bit more work but it has come in handy for me on the odd occasion.
