Need some help about a buyer that I think is scamming me

I sold a nintendo console with one game recently.

The buyer says the game was not there. I know it was. It was packaged separately inside the same bubble wrap envelope to ensure it was not damaged. Both items securely packaged in bubble wrap and cardboard.

So now, she is threatening that unless I send the game, she will open a dispute and I will have to pay both sets of postage, for sending, and for return.

I think she got the game, and wants to return the console and keep the game as a freebie. The game itself sells for £8 on Ebay, and she got is as part of the console and game bundle, for £21.

What can I do?

Is this another case of dishonest buyers rule ebay, or not? I cant even leave anything but positive feedback!

That's terrible hun I used to sell on eBay never again too many people claiming item not received did you sent recorded delivery in one package

QuintessentiallyInShade · 14/03/2015 20:28

Yes it was tracked and in one package, they received it, but say the actual game is
Missing. Nothing I can do I suppose?

That's shitty. What is her feedback like?
I can't think there's anything you can do, bloody frustrating for you.Sad

QuintessentiallyInShade · 14/03/2015 20:45

Her feedback score is 100% but she seem reasonably new. She knows her rights, have already quoted them to me what I must do when she files a dispute. I wonder if I can report her for misuse of eBay?

You won't have to pay return postage.

natty350 · 14/03/2015 20:56

I would add her to your block list, try and speak to someone on eBay chat its worth a try, eBay is getting worst and worst by the year

currentnameinuse · 14/03/2015 21:04

all you can do is ask her to return for a refund. How many negs has she left for others I wonder?

Call her bluff. I had a guy try and say that a disc was scratched when I knew it wasn't because I had only used it once and then triple wrapped it in bubble wrap, inside its case! IF, it had been scratched then it was the fault of RM, not me. As soon as I called his bluff I never heard from him again.

nauticant · 14/03/2015 22:00

ScrambledEggAndToast has it. Contact the buyer and tell them that if they're unhappy, you'll accept the return of your items by tracked delivery and once you've received the return you'll provide them with a full refund of their purchase price and shipping (if applied).

If they don't back down the worst that'll happen is you'll be slightly out of pocket, you'll have been mildly robbed, and you'll be able to sell a Nintendo console to someone who isn't a thief.

If she returns ask her to use your original packaging. Then you check the weight on your parcel receipt against hers. Might work if the game was in a case...

glammanana · 15/03/2015 20:54

Quintess Seeing that your buyer knows the running of ebay stick by your guns and insist she returns the items for a refund and make sure she has it tracked, max cost via myhermes would be £2.90ish,check and make sure it is your consul she returns and do the check on the weight as suggested by allbymyself its a common scam when returning items.
