Should I succumb to adding a buy it now?

My maclaren techno xlr had busted breaks & can't be repaired but after investigating on eBay I thought I'd sell all the fabric bits as a bundle (including footmuff, head hugger etc). I saw a previous bundle sold for £20 collection only. To attract more buyers I offered a postage option. Someone has offered me £30 and am tempted to accepted it's more than the previous seller got, but I have 35 watchers so I'm wondering if I'll make more at auction. What would you do helpful people?

You may be lucky and get more for your items if all your watchers decide its what they want and bid,are you adding postage on top or collection only ? have you thought of counter offering £40.00 incl.postage and you should make a couple of extra £s,also remember that a BIN price adds more fee's to your listing where as free P&P does not attract any fee's at all,worth thinking about if you decide to sell a lot of things in the future.

If you've got 35 watchers hopefully you'll make more at auction. I'd leave it.

I'd leave it. Someone asked me to out a buy it now in for £70 - item eventually went for £140. Usually they are chancers.

I'm also selling an antique nursing chair, I've got no idea of it's worth & someone's just offered me £120 buy it now. Mmmm 25 watchers on this one. I sell quite a bit on eBay but haven't been offered buy it now so much before

I always, always think that when someone offers you a BIN it means the item is quite sought after and will do well at auction (and they'd rather have a bargain than bid against others).

I think if you're unsure of the value you're better off to list it as an auction.

I listed some things that had sat in my Mum's garage for about 20 years. 99p collection only and one photo. Someone offered my £50 but I had loads of watchers. Eventually sold for £380 and the guy arranged for a courier to pick them up...

Agree with PP's - with so many watchers I think you should leave it on the auction and see how it goes!

Damn, should have taken buy it now on the chair!!

I got offered £50 BIN for a dishwasher that eventually sold for £83! The guy put loads of pressure on as well, saying he had a van for one day only and needed to get it ASAP. Stick to the auction.
