So buyer sent a message asking 'hi Hun Hmm can I buy now and pay next week' then promptly bought the item.
Now not responding to messages. So pissed off. What can I do?

I think she's seen the relisted item and tried bidding on it.

you shouldn't relist until you have closed the unpaid case.

SparklyReindeerShit · 05/02/2015 19:47

So she can 'buy it now' meaning no one else can buy it, mess me about with non payment and swear at me but I can't relist in the hope of a sale until the case is closed? eBay is a joke!

She sounds charming. I hope my son marries someone like her.

nickstmoritz · 06/02/2015 10:03

Yuk what an awful person. Use the report buyer button too and definitely contact ebay customer services to tell them what happened and get the neg removed. Let us know what happens.

SistersOfPercy · 06/02/2015 12:03

I think in this case it's acceptable to relist. Original buyer is blocked and there is no way you are dealing with her.

Sparkly, you need to go to Live Chat and ask them to remove the neg as well.

nauticant · 06/02/2015 13:36

The OP is already dealing with the original buyer because the original buyer has already bought the item (but not yet paid). As far as I know, blocking after a winning bid doesn't cancel the sale.

The original buyer could now pay for the item and the OP could find themeselves in the position of needing to break their contract with the original buyer or with a subsequent nice buyer or with both. It's always best to avoid this kind of thing especially if it's straightforward to do so.

Auburnsparkle · 06/02/2015 14:06

yep - you could end up with 2 buyers and 1 item hence you do need to wait the 4 days to relist.

Fullpleatherjacket · 06/02/2015 14:20

If she's using the ebay messaging system to send the 'fuck you's' report her. Ebay don't allow abusive messages.

19lottie82 · 06/02/2015 14:45

apparently live chat can't amend feedback anymore, you will need to phone ebay

SistersOfPercy · 06/02/2015 16:48

If the original buyer is abusive and op has those messages from eBay messaging she can speak to eBay who will usually advise not to go through with the sale anyway so personally I'd relist.

Even eBay won't force a sale with a bat shit buyer.

Auburnsparkle · 06/02/2015 17:01

Nobody can actually force a sale. And eBay would prob advise you speak to your buyer and ask them to agree to a cancellation - which I would never advise. Unpaid case is the best thing to do really I think.

SparklyReindeerShit · 06/02/2015 17:06

Sent eBay a message, have reported buyer and had her feedback removed.
She's got another negative above mine where she's done exactly the same thing since with someone else!
She's sent me another snotty message saying she won't bother replying to any messages from eBay so not to bother her again Grin

Britanniagate · 06/02/2015 17:15

It would be very unfortunate if you accidentally linked to her poor feedback so we all know who to avoid wouldn't it?

nauticant · 06/02/2015 17:16

Now that's what I like to see!

SparklyReindeerShit · 06/02/2015 17:27

Brit, I'm tempted! However it's very clear who I am from the feedback! Don't fancy outing myself WinkGrin

OP posts:
Britanniagate · 06/02/2015 17:28

That's understandable Sparkly.

boogiewoogie · 06/02/2015 18:19

Buy it now literally means buy it now afaic. Doing a BIN and then not paying prevents a potential sale for someone else who is in a position to pay straight away. She could have at least waited for a response before "buying".

Shonajay · 10/02/2015 22:43

You should always put especially on a BIN payment must be immediate, or on a bid, same thing, when auction ends.

TheYellowCat · 10/02/2015 23:10

If it's a BIN you can set it so the buyer has to pay immediately if they want the item - you just tick the box "requires immediate payment" (or something similar) when listing it. I always do this now because of time wasters like this.

nickstmoritz · 12/02/2015 11:43

update from me..my buyer was lovely. Contacted me on the day she said she would be able to buy - paid and left great fb and has since bought again so removing the item from sale and keeping it worked out well this time and buyer was extremely pleasant and nice. There are indeed some lovely ebayers which make it fun and can make up for the type of idiot OP had to deal with. Glad you got neg removed sparkly.
