What are the chances of getting negative feedback removed?

Sold something at the beginning of December - after nearly 4 weeks (so she'd probably used it all over the Christmas period) she contacts me to say it's "perfect, lovely, totally gorgeous" and loads of other great things about how there's nothing wrong with it but she wants to return it.

After 5 hours of no response (!) she then says she's opening a case against me (clearly bonkers). She then doesn't open
a case in the 2 days remaining to her.

It's now after the time to open a case and crazy woman has left negative feedback ruining my perfect feedback saying the item is used and she isn't happy.

I've emailed EBay asking them to remove the feedback and pointing them to the email
Where she said the item was perfect but she just didn't want it anymore.

What do you think? Will they remove it?

doubtful - unless it breaks any rules. What does it say?

LaurieFairyCake · 14/01/2015 08:59

It says 'item used, not happy' after the emails to me said how perfect it was.

It's a total lie as her emails to me back up.

do you think they left it by mistake? I would email and ask if they would remove it.

If not leave a calm response - just say it must be an error as they told you how delighted they were and if not happy please return for a refund - or something like that.

No, I think it's vindictive after she wanted to return it out of time and for some reason left it too late to open a case (after saying she would) - definitely not a mistake.

Ive emailed EBay, if they don't remove it I will leave a calm response

but a buyer has longer than 4 weeks to open a case - so she isn't too late is she.

LaurieFairyCake · 14/01/2015 09:52

According to EBay its 30 days (no idea if it's different for different categories)

Make sure you add buyer to your blocked list. Try ebay customer service by phone (they do a call back). However it seems quite difficult to get fb changed no matter that your buyer is obviously being very odd by waiting and saying the item is great. There is a report buyer option you could try. Have you looked at the buyer's previous fb? Look at fb left for others to see if there is anything similar. I feel for you - these sort of buyers ruin it. If no joy then leave a calm reply. Good luck hope you get it removed.

Try to speak with ebay directly and explain, they might remove it. My DH had a very similar case recently, after speaking with ebay they removed the negative feedback and the buyer was refused a refund.

A buyer has a year to open a case, however it is classed as a "communication channel only", once 30 days after the latest delivery estimate has passed. So ebay cannot force the seller to refund out with this time frame.

You can request the feedback is removed based on her previous messages but they may decline, oh and phone them up, you have more chance of getting a result than emailing
