What happens if you change your mind and don't want the item you bid for?

Feel really bad as I now don't want item as have bought elsewhere for cheaper. Is there anything I can do without getting negative feedback or costing sellers lots if money? Thanks for any advice.

Ask the seller to send a same cancellation message

Ask the seller if they will let you off. They don't have to but they might. If they won't, just sell it on.

Sellers can't leave negative feedback for buyers. It's been this way for at least 2 years now.

Contact the seller, apologise and ask if they will accept a mutual cancellation. They will get their fees back and you are no longer obligated to buy the item, however, if this is something that is going to sell better at christmas (toy etc) then morally you should pay as the seller will lose out.

just ask them to send a cancellation request which you need to accept then they get their fees back.

have you won or just bid on the item. if the latter you can cancel your bid, look up help section on ebay to find out how. if the former, you will need to ask the buyer if you can cancel. they may say yes, they may say no and open an unpaid item case if you don't pay. this will leave a "black mark" on your ebay account. too many may lead to you r account being suspended / restricted / shut down.
