Sold a Homedics back massager on Ebay last week. Buyer asked no questions before the auction ended, paid nice and promptly, but then asked me to clarify whether it was a massager or just a heated seat as she didn't want it if it didn't massage.
I went back to her and said it was a massager, as stated in my description (and as described on the packaging). Then got another message asking what kind of massager it was, ie., vibrating or kneading. I went back to her and told her honestly I had no idea as I was selling it on behalf of my MIL but again reiterated what it said on the box.
Then I got another message saying she didn't want me to post it until I clarified exactly what the massager did, and that possibly the transaction should be cancelled. I replied saying sorry, I had already posted it, and that with all due respect these kind of questions should have been asked before bidding AND paying for the item.
She received it today and has now sent me a snotty message saying it wasn't the item she thought it was but she would not leave negative feedback "AS A GOODWILL GESTURE"(???), despite me giving an inaccurate description.
FFS!!! I posted photographs of the box showing the description on the packaging and HoMedics call it a "massager with heat" (because that's what it is). My description, in the title and the description, couldn't have been more bloody accurate! I even looked it up on HoMedics website this evening as I was starting to doubt myself but, yep, it's a massager.
Am I right in thinking she should have done her homework before buying instead of trying to piss me about, asking for the transaction to be cancelled because it might not have been what she wanted?
