Will people buy clothes without labels?

I have a couple of items that are in good condition but I've cut out the labels with the washing instructions and the fabric content.

Am I able to sell them or will it put people off too much?

as long as you describe carefully and say labels are missing then yes you can sell. Some people cut out labels if they are itchy or too big.

As nick says - you'll just need to cover yourself by saying the label has been cut out of them.

It may be worth saying what wash you've ran them on just to educate the buyer too.

I can do that, I'm just not entirely sure what the fabric is, which is what worried me.

Just say that you are not sure what the fabric is and say how you have washed before or if they are new just say no fabric/wash label. Delicates need hand/delicate wash, wool needs wool/hand wash most other things are ok to machine wash. It's up to buyer to decide whether to buy. As long as you have described as much as you can then that's enough.

I can imagine that it might put some people off and doubt the item's authenticity for the brand or fabric.

For example, if I wanted to buy a silk item and on the listing it claims that it's 100% silk but indicates no label then I wouldn't bid.

That's just me though, it might be worth selling given you have 20 free listings per month to see what happens.

A lot of new clothes have the labels cut out to stop you returning them to the store - Monsoon for example.

Wouldn't bother me, although I haven't seen anything that also has the washing instructions cut out, only the name of the make.
