Fautly item, been asked to send it on to "another buyer" rather than return to seller.

Is this normal? There's a slight fault with a pair of shoes I bought and the seller has offered me a discount (so I assume he would refund this amount as I've already paid) or said I can send them on to another buyer who wants them. It will be done via MyHermes and will be paid for, I assume - I will have to print out an address label.

I think I'm within my rights to return them and can see why he doesn't want to shell out for another lot of postage, but how do I know that this person wants them etc? What if that person doesn't pay him so he doesn't refund me?

Should I do this or push for a refund if I just return direct to him (address is on the original package?.

Thanks for any advice...

the seller is doing a second chance offer to the underbidder

but ebay won't refund you unless returned to the sender - so that is where you should send it. And they can pay the return postage costs too.

Thank you - thought that might be the case (ebay Returns info was unavailable to check).

DillyBob is correct, you should return it tracked to the seller.

Sorry, I forgot to say you should open a SNAD
