Buyer from Lithuania

I sold an item last night which was bid on at the last minute by a buyer from Lithuania. I hadn't given an option for posting abroad and thought my account was set up to only accept bids from the UK but realise now it wasn't set up properly. The buyer hasn't yet paid and has 100% feedback but I'm a bit . What should I do?

I have sold items abroad and have never had a problem, however I only send international signed for. If the buyer isn't happy to pay for this then I won't send to them. You can work out the cost on the Royal Mail website and don't forget to include eBay postage fees and packaging costs.

Do you want to sell the item to someone outside the UK? If not, cancel the transaction. There's a specific reason you can select. However, the buyer can cause mischief by refusing to agree which will cause your final fee to be taken, and by leaving negative feedback. If you're going to cancel, write politely to them expressing your regret that the listing was for the UK only and asking if they will agree to cancel once they receive the cancellation request.

If you're willing to risk it, check the feedback of the buyer, get an accurate quote from Royal Mail or whoever that includes a signature on delivery and insurance, and see if you can find any information on the Web about whether deliveries to Lithuania tend to arrive.

It might be the case that such a delivery cost will be high and you can put to the buyer that since it's so high in relation to the item cost, that if they'd prefer to cancel you'd happily cooperate.

Thank you for the advice. I've sent an invoice for the cost of international signed for and added a note saying she is welcome to cancel if she wants.

Another question!
The buyer has just replied asking me to send it 'not signed for' but if I won't to cancel. I'm not prepared to do this but should I request a cancellation or should she?
