Can I cancel someone's bid?

I've got something on ebay that has attracted a lot of attention. It's had over 1200 views in a week and has 77 watchers.

Unfortunately it's been bid on by a troll - 0 feedback, complete idiot who can't read judging by what she has asked me so far.

I have added her to my blocked bidder list but it's too late and I have no idea how much she has put on it.

What can I do except wait? She's fecking miles away as well, it's collection only. I have a feeling she is just taking the piss.

23 hours to go.

I haven't been in this situation myself but I don't think you can :(

It may resolve itself though, if they can't collect it you can after a while offer a second chance win to the next highest.

Plus something that popular is bound to be bid higher in the next 23hrs so it may be fine? Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks ever so much. I asked on the ebay answer centre in the end and they gave me a link to cancel it, so I have - you have to put a reason and I just put that she offered to buy it outside of ebay.

Seems to have worked Smile

She'd put 500 quid on it - ridiculous.

Thanks again.

Ah that's good. :) I didn't realise you could do that so I've learned something too!

make sure you only take cash when collected - and don't let a buyer arrange their own courier either.

Thanks Smile Lily, is it Ok to let them do that if they pay by bank transfer?

I have put that they can't at the moment, though I am willing to send by courier if I arrange it myself (and it is paid by BT)

yes - bank transfer is totally safe as a seller and bonus of being free. Not advisable as a buyer, but as a seller then yes, definitely.

Thanks so much Lily.
