Question about postage to Europe

I've sold a pair of girl's trousers on ebay. Turns out the buyer is in Italy, despite the fact that I state I only post within the UK. Willing to be helpful, so had a look at the Royal Mail website and came up with a figure of £7.85 to go Airmail. She has disputed this saying it seems expensive. I went back to her and said that I never send out of UK, and it said that in my advert. I basically gave her until tomorrow to decide what she wanted to do or will relist the trousers.

This is why I hate sending out of UK!!! Does this price seem completely outrageous!?

you need to physically block foreign buyers in your settings - saying it in the listing is insufficient.

you also need to file a non paying bidder case against the buyer, close in 4 days time and only then can you relist.

What kind of trousers are they? A pair of adult jeans will cost just under £8 (not signed for) I send quite a few things to Europe for £4.90 - dresses etc so a pair of childs trousers would probably be that much but that is not signed for/tracked etc it is just normal airmail. International signed for is £10.20 unless extra heavy item. If you have weighed the parcel and looked it up then that is what you have to charge and buyer should have checked before bidding. Set up your account to block overseas buyers if you don't want to send abroad. If they don't want to pay you can ask for a cancellation to get your fees back.
