Not Ebay but Amazon.
I listed my item as a new sealed Nintendo DSi (unwanted gift)
Buyer was after a Nintendo DS XL and ordered mine by mistake through not being on the ball searching (which they admitted)
I offered full refund on receipt of goods.
Received goods, but it has been opened and the seal has been broken, therefore it is no longer "new" and I can't be sure the buyer hasn't simply exchanged it for a broken one in some kind of scam. At the very least it isn't worth what it was when it was sealed.
It says on the box quite clearly which model it was, if it was a genuine mistake why the need to break the seal?
Amazon themselves say they won't refund or exchange sealed electronic goods where the seal has been broken- I expected and assumed the item would be sent back still sealed (everyone knows you can't send back electronic stuff with the seal broken unless it is faulty).
What would you do?
Refund and suck it up or email the buyer saying the seal is broken therefore I can't refund you, and send it back to him to dispose of/sell as he wishes?
I don't care about the feedback because this is third time I have been messed around by buyers and now feel that I will never attempt to sell anything on Amazon ever again.
