Some gems from the last two days.

Item 1.
Q. I give u £90 for it today.
A. Marvellous! It's already bid up to £100, brand new, boxed and retailing at £199.99 how can I possibly resist?!
Q. Ok, £105, save you going to the post office.
A. No thanks.
Block list.

Item 2
Q. Wil U take £60??
A. The start price is £100. You can't buy a non working one for £60 and generally these end around the £200 mark, so no, I wont.
Block list

Item 2 again
Q. I want buy this.
A. Please feel free to bid.
Q. Dose it work?
Block list.

Item 3, big, heavy, collection only, big red letters NO COURIERS!!!

Q. Can I send a courier?
Block list.

Sigh. They are all out this week I think.

lol, I don't get any of that. No one gets to see my listings. [f-frown]

DownstairsMixUp · 12/12/2013 12:14

Oh yes. And on the buy sell groups. You write a really LONG very detailed description and obviously you get asked the questions anyway that you put in huge capital letters in the listing. Hmm

GhostsInSnow · 12/12/2013 16:04

I give up, I really do. Do some of these people actually read listings or just bid and hope for the best? And I know it's the season of goodwill but I'm really not going to give them a £200 item for a tenner less than the opening bid.

DH can do his own ebaying next time. It's making me twitch. Grin

I totally agree - I have just been accused on my doorstep of shill bidding by an extremely unpleasant buyer.

There were two people bidding on a low value item (part of a set) that they obviously both wanted. She paid over the odds to win the item and accused me of being the other bidder.

The experience has left me feeling very unsettled (especially as she did this on my doorstep) and I am left wondering what is the lesson learnt? Answer: not to sell at Christmas!

ReluctantBeing · 14/12/2013 21:46

TreeFu, what did she say to you?

GhostsInSnow · 14/12/2013 21:47

Well of the 4 auctions that ended, 2 paid, one claimed he'd cancelled his bid that morning (yet still managed to win) so had to send a cancellation request, 2nd chance offer was ignored. Last auction was won by a 0 feedback bidder who's bidding up a storm on phones and has so far failed to pay.

I think I might just stop selling there full stop tbh. Not worth the hassle any more.

TreeFu, did she pay cash?

Glad im not the only one thinking this , I'm beyond pissed off with some buyers .

•Sold a pram , waited 4 days for payment & then I booked courier right away , dropped parcel at courier place .
I have been getting several messages a day with the weirdest of things 'I am very upset , crying because you are being mean' Confused and today she messaged saying im scamming her and I have 3 hours to put the money in the bank before she rings the police Hmm
I politely told her to get to fuck .

TreeFuMom · 14/12/2013 22:08

Yes, she paid cash. It was only £7. It was a playmobil part - she is a dealer who was looking to complete a set and presumably sell it before Christmas.

She didn't shout or swear (otherwise I would have reported her for abuse) but she was very unpleasant and confrontational. I have reported her for the false accusation, though I doubt eBay will do anything.

ReluctantBeing · 14/12/2013 22:13

Crazy, what is crying about?

CrazyHamstersbigbaubles · 14/12/2013 22:15

I haven't a clue that's literally the message she sent me

ReluctantBeing · 14/12/2013 22:19

How odd.

CrazyHamstersbigbaubles · 14/12/2013 22:35

Yup
