My last 2 transactions have been a complete nightmare!

First issue resolved, but now this...

I listed an item that was for collection only. This was clearly stated in both the description, and postage section. The auction ended on Sunday. I contacted the buyer and asked when they wanted to collect it.

It now seems they live abroad and want a price for postage. I have said "no", it's for collection only. What should I do now, clearly the buyer can't collect it!?

Getting fed up with eBay and people who have issues reading basic information Angry.

Thanks.

you file an unpaid item dispute, close in 4 days and get their fees back. Only then can you relist or do a second chance offer. And make sure you only take cash for a collected item, not paypal.

And change your settings to block overseas bidders.

Thanks for your reply.

I will do the unpaid buyer as you suggested, but I then don't want them to pay via Paypal as I asked for cash on collection and then they assume I will post it to them!?

It would be nice if eBay had a section where you could write a short description of issue.

You would think common sense would prevail with most people who live abroad and the auction clearly states "collection only" Smile.

send them an invoice with £100 p&p on it, they won't pay then.

And tighten up your buyer requirements too, plus add them to your blocked bidder list.

Instead of opening a non-payer thing, can I not do the "sold an item and want to cancel the transaction"? Or does this take longer?

Sorry to bombard you with all these questions. I rarely sell and never had probs before.

Similar thing happened to me, listed a suit as UK postage only. Clearly said it was UK postage only! I even turned away a woman from Belgium who e-mailed asking if I would send it to Belgium. Then the person who won it turned out to be in France! I ended up posting the suit to France as didn't really know what to do. I hate selling stuff on Ebay!

yes you can send them a cancellation, and they can refuse it and you won't get your fees refunded - plus they will still be able to leave you bad feedback.

oneofeach2010 · 10/12/2013 19:42

That's fine, I don't mind Smile

I have gone with this option, I will contest the bad feedback with eBay.

No more eBay-ing for me, all because of one idiot!

Thanks for all your help.
