Can you withdraw an item after a bid has been placed?

I'm pretty sure the answer is no but what are the rules? I had an item I was hoping to get at least £5 for and realised an hour before it closed it only had one watcher and one bid. I wanted to pull it as did not want to sell for only 99p but thought better of it.

In the end it sold for 99p and I underestimated postage so it cost me Confused. My own fault I know. But in future could I pull an item if it looks like it will sell for only 99p?

You can remove it from sale before the auction ends. I have had many an email from Ebay saying the item I am bidding on has been removed as it is no-longer available. Once the auction ends you have to send it even if it costs you. I have done this once too. It's an easy mistake to make!

In future list it for what you want to get for it?

It's really fustrating as a buyer for things to vanish? The buyer might have happily bid for more too for all you know

I think you can remove it but not within the last 24 hours.

I've removed things about 12 hours before they were due to end.
