I bought a cupcake case and flag set on ebay, with 2 designs of the cases, and 2 of flags. It was described as 48 x cases/flags, and the image showed the box printed with 48 x cases, 48 x flags. Fair to assume I would be getting 24 of each case design, with 24 matching flags to go with it right? (I also know this was sold on the high st so this is how it was sold originally!)
The box arrived with half the amount (12 of each case design, 12 of each flag). The amounts printed on the box were crossed out in pen!
I opened a case for not as described, asking for the rest to be sent or half the sale price refunded. I got a really arsey reply telling me not to 'abuse a legitimate listing' and the item was already cheap as there was a printing fault on it (not mentioned in listing) and it was clear there would be 48 items in total, or else it would say 96 itens in the listing.
I'm irritated as I don't believe this was obvious at all and they've clearly removed half the contents, but as they replied via message not via the open case page, I can still keep the case open and potentially get my money/replacement items. However, they really weren't expensive and 50% refund would only be 90p!! I'm not sure I want them to send more now as I don't trust them not to be 'tampered with' especially as it's a food item. Do you think it's worth the hassle and inevitable nasty messages, or just close the case, accept my losses and leave a neg? I'm annoyed at their attitude rather than the item itself (which I can still use!) Sorry for the essay!!
