Someone from Austria has bid on lots of my items. Some won tonight and has already bid on more which are due to end in a week. I have sent a message asking them to let me know whether they want to wait for all the things they want and I will send together or send one invoice now and one next week. I am starting to feel slightly nervous that this is all going to get difficult. oh dear, hope not! I can't see any odd feedback for them so maybe it will be ok. I once had this from someone in Germany tho who kept adding to their pile but took ages to pay because they were waiting for the next thing to finish. I had to tell her the box was full and I needed to send! Oh well, I guess I will find out soon enough and if it is ok then hurrah! Mind you reading about the rogues gallery on here this week is enough to make anyone nervous! I still can't get over the postie's mate one!

When you combine the postage you should be able to include international signed for or airsure without becoming overly expensive ? More for your safety and stuff and easier sending all at once. Hope all goes well.

Yes, good thinking! I will do that. TBH it does make international signed for more of a reasonable option. Buyer has been in touch already so fingers crossed. The only thing is that as the other things end in a week I will have to wait that long for the money for tonight's auctions but hopefully will be worth it. Wouldn't it be nice (and amazing) if it goes to plan!!

oh dear..I knew it...
postage was indeed a nightmare. Packed all the stuff up and went to post office to check P&P (remembered not to estimate as I always undercharge). Was over 2kg so would cost £40 to send (!) so had to divide into 2 parcels which each cost £14.60 to send signed for so invoiced for £30 and buyer thinks it is expensive. It is, but I am still going to lose after paying ebay 10% of this £30 and I bet buyer gives me crappy P&P stars now.

Is there a cheaper way to post abroad?

Just had a quick look at a courier site (parcel monkey) and was not cheaper.

Just tell them that the £30 is the cost that was given in the Post Office and there's nothing that you can do to lower it, mention that to send in one would have been more.

I sympathise with you, nightmare!

I took an item out of the parcel which brought it down to under 2kg. This costs £13.65 plus £5.30 signed for so £18.95 then I posted the small parcel airmail at £4.95 and gave the buyer a £6 refund. I am hoping this will help.

So if it helps anyone needing to post abroad in this situation - Under 2kg is doable for around £20 signed for but over it jumps up to £40ish.

Has been a bit of a pain and I will be down on ebay p&p fees and buying large postal bag at £2. Just have to wait for the feedback & stars now..sigh
