Cheapest way to send item over 2kg

I listed some items and didn't realise how expensive they'd be to post!
I know I know I don't need telling!
Can anyone recommend how to send them
2 buyers have both purchased 2 items.

Packaged dimensions, weight, and how much would you like to insure them for?

ps are they over 3 kg?

Both are 2.4kg
12x9x7 inches.

So convenient and so much cheaper than RM.

It's the one where you drop off your parcel at a registered place, usually your local garage/corner shop. Brill.

I use RM Standard Parcel. Very convenient and not expensive.

Most of mine are under 2kg though

but standard parcels isn't tracked - so no seller protection.

Myhermes or Collectplus will be cheapest, OP, double check the dimensions & weight limits.

CHECK WITH YOUR BUYERs that they are happy with those couriers, some buyers hate either or even both, and only want Royal Mail.

If you could repackage the boxes you might be able to get into the cheapest Royal Mail price band, have to check the rules closely and only a small savings on MyHermes, probably.

Not always, PP, I've been struggling with a package this morning. If it were 1-2kg it would be cheapest with Royal Mail (too big for Collect plus and costs 80p more at that weight with Myhermes).

Luckily it came in at 800g so Myhermes cheapest after all, but only because I want tracking/signature. If it were worth less and tracking no so important I would go for the lowest Royal Mail price band as best buy.

It's been a pain.

I'm also sending a huge 21 kg parcel tomorrow and Parcel Force will be cheapest by a big margin for that.

collectplus size is 50 x30 x30 or in inches 20 x 12 x12 so OP fits in easily

royal mail is only cheapest for under 1kg in small parcel size

No... that's not right, either. DH sent a parcel for me 2nd class last week that was only £5.60 ("only", hahahaha). That was the 2nd class small parcel rate.

Would have cost £3.30 with MyHermes or £3.99 with Collectplus, though, so I was well peeved!

small parcels upto 2kg 1st or second can be ordinary or confirmed(signed for)

medium parcels upto 20kg

large parcels parcelforce

piglet a 2kg parcel with royal mail would be 5.60 if small and £8.00 medium standard second class still not good value as others about £4

Royal mail is still cheapest for all letters, large letters and small parcels upto 1kg in all other cases someone else is cheaper

Not ALL other cases, Sarah, I gave an example above where RM worked out cheapest over 1 kg. But probably yes in most cases, or margin is small, or the small amount extra would mean tracking, etc.
