I sold an childs toy last wednesday for £10.99 plus £5.45 postage as its quite heavy.

Newish buyer buys it, she bids in the last few seconds, only has 2 feedback but then nothing at all, so i emailed her last night asking do you still want this, not a problem if you dont as ill just relist but could you just let me know, the response i get back is, "yer ill pay on friday, i forgot all about it cos my mum had died".

So the sceptic in me immediately thinks this sounds strange and i click on her feedback, both are positive, both sayin bad ebayer, dont bother with.

I replied to her just saying sorry to hear that, im away on friday for a few weeks on holiday, but i wouldnt be able to post it out in time when you had paid for it so its probably best to cancel the transaction.

Ive sent her the cancellation request, but if she refuses to close it what else can i do, i dont actually believe she will pay for it juding by her feedback shes bought 2 other things 1 a phone and 1 a mens bike for £45 and not bothered paying for them either. I dont know why i just get a feeling she'd leave neg feedback for me as she has doen for the others too. If she doesn cancel this what can i do apart from open a non paying case?

yes - you should have filed a non paying bidder request and she gets a strike for non payment and you get your fees back - then she can't neg either

If she ignores the cancellation request it will close automatically and you will get your fees back but she can still leave feedback

Can she really not leave me negative feedback if i open the non payer case, im always a bit wary of opening them for that reason alone?

no she can't - and you must always open a case, first to get your fees back and second to issue her with a strike
