I am fairly new to selling things on Ebay, and for simplicity reasons I specified Postage to UK only. I have recently sold a baby dress for only 99p and the seller is in New Zealand and is requesting an invoice. I?m happy to post it there rather than argue the schematics but should I just use Airmail or signed for as it?s travelling such a vast difference? Any reason I need to back myself up like this?

How much P&P are they prepared to pay?

Hi Linerunner, thanks for getting back to me - the haven't mentioned cost, just requested an invoice for the sale so I reckon I'm going to go with Airmail as signed for is so much more expensive. Just hope it gets there.

You can go on the postage checker on the Royal Mail web site - it asks for weight, size, value etc - and if you add that into your invoice it's up to the buyer if they want to pay it.

Don't forget to include packaging costs, i.e. a bubble-wrap type envelope.

You can also block bidders from outside of the UK from bidding. I do that. and then if I get a genuine inquiry that I'm happy about, I put them on my exemptions list so that they can bid.

It's not perfect, but it's ok.
