I don't have to refund postage do I?

I've had a buyer open a not as described case on me saying they were more worn than described (2 good photos plus they were worn for about 50 steps as I can't walk in them)

I'm perfectly happy to have them back and I offered a refund as she got a bargain - they're sold out in Russell and Bromley and cost 200, she only paid 37.

But she wants all postage costs refunded Confused

That would mean I would be £11 out of pocket when they are described accurately.

What are eBay going to do?

they will give her all of her money back, she will have to pay cost of return. She will probably expect you to give her the return costs too though if they aren't as described.

They are as described so do I have to provide return postage too?

I'm a bit Hmm as she's had them a week including the weekend and said not a word. She also opened a case the second after sending me an email saying I'd not responded - i responded less than 2 minutes later.

well I would tell her to return them in the condition in which they were sent, and once you have checked your security markings you will refund her

Do you think she has worn them and now no longer needs them?

I understand why you are annoyed if they were as described. But if you don't refund her postage she'll probably give you a negative or neutral feedback. Buyers have all the power! Do you say anything about returns in your listings?

LFCisTarkaDahl · 10/10/2012 22:06

I did exactly that Wink and she put in her case to EBay there were no security marks on them.

I've no idea if she's worn them just miffed that shes opened a case when I'd already offered a refund.

I also don't want to be 11 quid out of pocket, they cost more to post than I'd even charged so if I have to pay 2 lots of postage I will be irritated.

Oh yes, returns are offered. I don't care about the feedback, got over 600 positives so just not that bothered.

I mind about the rudeness since she got a huge bargain.

how would she know there aren't security marks on them!?

look on the brightside - if they come back you can relist and get more money for them next time? Were they ending in the middle of the day hence the bargain?
