Hi, I'm trying to make a bit of extra cash, can you lovely people advise what sells well? I went to the car boot yest and managed to get some jane norman skirts, coast corsets, top shop dress and river island and monsoon tops. Should I start the price on these at the minimum I'd want to ensure I don't lose any money on them or start them at 99p?
What other makes sell well and are there any toys that go well?

If you start at 99p you risk only getting that, so you need to start them at the minimum you would accept.

If you are buying to sell on you will need to register as a business with eBay and with HMRC also.

I've got a bit fed up this week of selling things at 99p (or £1.04, £1.77, prices like that) and then having all the faff of cleaning, packing and posting for such a small return.

So I'm thinking of listing with a minimum, and if they don't sell, then waiting and re-listing in September or October (for Christmas).

Is there a flaw to this plan, I wonder?

I always start bids at 99p when selling clothes etc on ebay but as fergoose says you risk only getting 99p for the items. I've recently got a bit fed up trying to sell things on ebay and have been looking at other ways of saving money instead.

what I dont understand though is whenever I try to get some bargains I never get them for 99p!! There are always other bidders!

yes Ifancy I never get those bargains either despite reading about them on here all the time! What I do now is start at the minimum I'd like to get for an item and then just keep relisting. Its worked well and for some reason buyers seem to be happier - maybe it justs weeds out a certain type?! Actually having said that there's a few things I've had on for ages that I think I'll list @ 99p just to be rid

If I buy at £1, I start my item at £4.99. If it doesn't sell the first week, I drop it to £3.99 the following, etc etc. However, I am quite prepared to take the chance on having to list it several times. If you're not, you'll need to start lower.
