Losing money on postage

I bought some clothes at the weekend. Buyer added £1 for P&P. Item arrived today and the stamp was £4.55. I only paid £6 for item and I feel terribly guilty. Should I contact the buyer and offer to pay the difference? Would you?

You mean seller? Up to you if you want to - most people wouldn't.

Yes, sorry I meant seller. I think I'll offer another few quid. I don't see why they should be out of pocket.

If it was a really good bargain I might as goodwill. But TBH if the stamp was £4.55 surely they would have been better to send by Collectplus?

Their loss, this is how most eBay sellers learn to get postage right

They'll learn by their mistake!

You sound like me. I recently gave the buyer (payment on collection) an extra £50 for an item that she wanted £250 for. It was very underpriced and in near new condition and I had been looking to pay £1800 for a similar item. I could have wept with relief at this bargain (a trike for a disabled child)!
