I habe just done an extensive study of drivers on the notorway. AIBU to be disappointed that they are mostly men?

When I say exhaustive, I mean 34.

34 cars of what I surmised were couples and not one wife was diving their hubbie. Wink

AIBU to be saddened by this perceived pampered princessiness?

Oh scittishmummy you do amuse me.

My phone arses around depending on the network coverage - I tend to give up posting when I know that it's playing up.

That's why I'm hardly here these days. As I'm sire you've noticed.

Grin Nymets "to be fair I do look like a man" Tea all over iPad there.

I have driven my dh all over today.

SoupDragon · 09/06/2012 13:16

So, you are currently being driven by your DH.

Although you claim to have been the driver earlier.

Yet judge those women who are not currently driving to be Pampered Princesses?

scottishmummy · 09/06/2012 13:19

yes the driven about op is judging those being driven about
princesses,apparently

SoupDragon · 09/06/2012 13:19

Anyhow, the way I see it is along the lines of "why have a dog and bark yourself?" I am more than capable of driving yet XH was less than capable of being passenger (i.e. shutting the fuck up).

I have to drive everywhere now and I'm bored of it.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 09/06/2012 13:22

Am at a service station now, so habe wifi.

TBVH, it was more of a pondering about what I saw in my crappy little study combined with the attitudes of DFs who tell me their DHs always drive when they're together.

So a fuck of a lot of assumptions and an unclear OP. So I alopogise for that.

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 09/06/2012 13:24

Like I said - why have a dog and bark yourself? I far prefer being driven to being the driver and will abdicate that responsibility at the drop of a hat. Lord knows my children have seen me drive enough to know a female is perfectly capable of doing so.

scottishmummy · 09/06/2012 13:24

it was funny post
waffled tongue
fist stint
worth it for those quips

Trills · 09/06/2012 14:01

If one person prefers to drive and one prefers not to - is the prefer-not a pampered princess?

You could only accuse them of such if you know that the man would rather not drive.

If the wanting-to-drive or not-wanting-to-drive is equal or in favour of the way round things are, then nobody is a princess or dogsbody or wimp or any other thing.

stubbornstains · 09/06/2012 14:04

Mind you, there is such a thing as learned helplessness, and it does tend to cut down on your options in life (looking at you DM)....

NarkedRaspberry · 09/06/2012 14:07

Is your tiara intefering with your mobile reception? Grin

maxmillie · 09/06/2012 14:08

We have 2 cars, shiny, sporty, family one which I drive exclusively during the week (commuting to work and school run) and an ancient old wreck which DP gets during the week for pickups and local station run. It is like driving a dustbin. So at the weekend if we go anywhere as a family I tend to "let" him drive "my" car (they are both joint really) as it is still a novelty for him to drive it. I would normally rather be driving myself though. I often can't stand it on the way back and drive us all back.
