Ebay WWYD - non sending seller

ought some baby clothes on eBay three weeks ago and paid by PP straight away.
Seller contacted me 10 days later, aplolgising for not sending my parcel yet, but she was v pg, due a few days later and had been in hospital, but that she would post my stuff the next day.

A week later still, still nothing. I contacted her via eBay to see if she had posted my parcel yet, and acknowledging that I realised that she was either still v pg or had a newborn. That was about three days ago. no reply.

But it has now been three weeks! DD will have grown out of the clothes soon if we ever get thtemsem! Is several items. Sellers feedback is good. Don't want to dump her in it with eBay if she is struggling, but this is getting a bit silly now.

I would open a case now, you have been more than understanding but she is taking the piss now.

She could have got someone to take the parcel to the PO if her tale of woe is true Grin

tamitots · 13/05/2012 22:00

Open a case now or you will run out of time to do so.

BikeRunSki · 13/05/2012 22:04

How long do I have to open a case?

OP posts:

28 Days as far as I know so it really is best to do it now. have she marked the item down as dispatched?

BikeRunSki · 13/05/2012 22:13

Ok, ta. Will do so after post has been tommorow.

you have 45 days to open a case. I would open now, then if no item you can escalate and get money back.

MoaningMinnieRisesAgain · 13/05/2012 22:36

ebay item not received info

F4ttyBumBum · 14/05/2012 18:23

Just to cover yourself I'd open a case and maybe put in a note that you aren't being grumpy but this is to make sure you don't lose money and because of the length of time elapsed you'd like a refund. It doesn't sound like she's a con artist but difficulties with pregnancy/loss can come out of the blue and ebay is the last thing on your mind.

BikeRunSki · 14/05/2012 18:44

See, I am imagining problems with new baby/ Scbu/ loss as F4tty says. I have never opened a case against a seller before, so a bit nervous.

DS came a couple of weeks early and I was wrapping eBay parcels for DH tobtake to the PO for me between contractions.

I recently opened my first non paying buyer case and was nervous about that but did it so apologetically that it resolved itself well and we were both able to give eachother positive feedback. If you get a reasonable person, I think they'll understand your position. Hope it works out :)

mumnosbest · 14/05/2012 20:22

I've opened a case before and also sent a nice message to tell them I've done so. It all worked out fine, doesn't have to get nasty. You could also ask her politely for a refund if the clothes are going to be to small.

BikeRunSki · 14/05/2012 20:55

Well she has replied. Has 4 day old baby and says she has posted parcel and is going to look for receipt with tracking number by the end of tommorow.

So I am planningt to wait until Wednesday to see if she gets back with that before opening a case. Is that a good idea? Clothes should be OK, but we will need them soon now that DD has discovered solid food!
