How do i block buyers from abroad?

I used to not worry about sending items abroad, only ever sold 2 things, 1 to norway and 1 to lithuania, both mysteriously went missing and a case was opened for each almost immediately as they could, even though they were refunded, Both left negative feedback so im now reluctant to post abroad.

i thought id set up my account to post uk and ireland only but someone has managed to buy from norway again, i emailed straight away to point out on the listing page where it says will post to - i have clicked the uk only button when listing the items and this shows on the page, yet im a bit pissed off that she had managed to bid still and win it. instead of emailing me back she has just asked for an invoice to be sent.

Is there another way of doing ot or have i done it wrong?

hi Fergoose sent me this link a while back -
pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/buyer-requirements.html?clk_rvr_id=340781905447&afsrc=1

I post abroad all the time parcels going abroad are generally fine especially scandanavia and germany

in this case yo have to send as you did not actually block bidders so theycould technically open non performing buyer case

follow link above for future reference

but unless very fragile or too large/heavy I post everything abroad

Hi, thanks for the link but its what ive already done anyway. When i clicked on it to do it again it shows up as already set up the way i want it, so i have no idea at all how she has managed to get around it.

the only thing i can think of is if she has a uk account on ebay but has set the address to her home address? i really dont know?

sorry only getting back now.. I had set my account up on that link as well, to exclude all but UK and Ireland, and approx 5 other European countries but I then got a bid from a country I thought I had excluded. At that point when I checked my listings most of them were stating post to worldwide with no exclusions. They had been listed AFTER I set up the exclusion list but I still had to go through each one indivually and change them it was a right pain. I also had to set up 'no returns' on each one as well. I never got to the bottom of it either. I know this no help but just to advise to check your listings. I'm sure they are ok and what you said is probably correct, I think a determined buyer could circumvent things - maybe even get a friend to do the bidding for you ?

maybe even get a friend to do the bidding for THEM!

take some time with next listing use advanced and then set it as a template then you list every time using templete

so it saves all terms and conditions , go to your preferences write a legal return policy ie not no returns under any circumstances because everyone has to accept reurns for not as described items arriving damaged/broke

you can have a few templates

one for childrens clothes , one for breakables another for books etc etc,

that way you do not have to keep typing " always happy to combine postage " "any questions please ask" " i only post on tuesdays " or whatever

it will also keep you blocked bidder criteria

thanks saraht I will set up templates from now on. Have only been selling an odd thing here and there up to now so its only recently become a problem!
