I sold an iPhone 3 last November for parts/not working and was very clear in listing that phone did not work and needed a new charging port. The phone sold for 84.00GBP.
In mid January buyer left me a neutral feedback to say repair would cost 246.00. I responded to feedback but heard nothing further, until today.
Received a msg today and buyer is now saying phone isn't as described in listing, is a different model (2G not 3G), has been tampered with and needs at least 246.00 spending on it to get it working, except as it is a 2G it cannot be repaired apparently.
Therefore buyer would now like to return it to me for a full refund.
Firstly, phone I sold was definitely a 3G, secondly it had not been tampered with in any way, and lastly, I was quoted £15 repair with iphonefix for a new charging port, but didn't get it done as upgraded to iPhone 4.
Buyer is saying phone won't work at all, but i suspect this is untrue as it did work before I sold it. This was stated in the listing, but I explained I was selling for parts/not working as I knew the charging port was temperamental and needed replacing.
So I'm thinking this is just a buyer chancing their arm for a refund??
