That's it - I've had it with ebay. If you ever see me selling again, just shoot me :(

Sold a perfectly working piece of equipment (wont say what in case buyer is on mn!!), even undercharged the postage, described it perfectly, and i know there was nothing wrong with it. Now I get an email saying it doesnt work at all :( . I dont have a leg to stand on do I? :( . I cant afford to lose the money and the item, especially given that it cost a tenner to post. I did live help, and she just waffled on about it being assesssed by a specialist team if a complaint is opened. Specialist in one-word-against-the-other??!!

I rate a 'low' for item as described on my account apparently - was that one person who didnt like the dvd I sold? they never took my offer of refund, didn't leave feedback - so how could they influence a low score? Not got any bad feedback at all. One neutral in the last yr, which the buyer later regretted, admitting she shouldn't haven given it. All the rest are positives.

Can identify with a lot of this but keep persevering despite the set backs, because the stuff can add up in paypal and then you can save money by buying. Also do any of the other selling places have the same audienceand level of organisation as ebay?I think there are some words of advice on ebay when you do get a horrid stressful situation,I think it begins look at the bigger picture or something, but it did spur me on!

I've started selling stuff again after a few years out (or just buying) and I'm astonished at how unfair it is for sellers now. Sad When I tried to list an item saying that regretably, I couldn't accept bids from people with feedback of less than 10 (because I was relisting a valuable item that had run to end of auction and then not been paid for), ebay told me I wasn't allowed to word it in a way that detered bidders. Confused I did manage to work my way round that by re-wording it cunningly, but apparently that's a reportable offence, and I notice that I got some no-feedback bidders anyway. Grr.

well ive just about had enough of ebay.ive just had a message off a buyer who brought a stereo off me has had it for 2 weeks and then messages me stating the speakers sound distorted and wants to return it.they have most probably been blasting it and damaged the speakers.and then i have a buyer stating they have not received their item. i know i sent it through standard delivery and not recorded(stupied me).and then i have a buyer stating the item has got damaged in the post. all this within a matter of 10 days.im ready to throw in the towel

Never sell on there any more, shame because I have loads of nice stuff to go on but I will not ever give them my bank details for them to take fees when I've neer defaulted or been late paying them in 9 years, they can do one.

I do buy, quite often if something's really nice but I never leave feedback any more, it's a transaction, no more, no less.
