i am still quite new to ebay, and finding my way around. i was wondering if there was a facility on ebay to keep track of all of your items? i am in the process of setting up a spreadsheet but wondered if there was something already done? although i think i am running out of things to ebay now anyway!
thanks

ebay itself keeps track of it all on the dashboard as you log in. Weirdly despite the fact I am a seller it only shows me what I am buying when you first go on. You have to click on your selling link to see it all and where everything is at. You can also add items before you are ready to sell them. If you have an i-phone you can also download the app.

eBay keep the records - but only for a certain period of time ( think it is 3 months) as after this the auction is deleted from the site. You can certainly download a record of the items that you have sold, which contains a lot of data. I use this on the spreadsheet that I have set up to manage my sales. Not sure if you can do the same for purchases - I have never tried.

sherbertpips I there is an option where you can default to your sales when you log in (which is what I do) but I set it up so long ago I can't think of where the option is.

In purchase history you can see a list of your 'recent' purchases which is the last 60 days. You can archive items now [which i do once received and feedback left] this keeps a record up to two years, so seeing as you are a new user this should be good enough for you.

Archive isn't available for sold/unsold items, they are only held for 60 days.

I keep an Excel spreadsheet. I have a sheet in the workbook for my sales and one for my purchases. I also print to pdf all the items I have bought, sold or am otherwise interested in. This lets me see all the info, including the pictures, indefinitely. I do find that I refer back to things quite a bit.
