Flogging Furniture on Ebay - making sure it's collected promptly

Hiya, I want to get rid of 2 large mahogany wardrobes, they're far too nice to junk. I'm not particularly bothered about how much I get for them, my main concern is that they're collected promptly once they're sold. I also think they're going to be pretty difficult to get out of the house, so need someone happy to turn up and potentially dismantle them. What conditions can you impose as a seller about collecting within a time frame and not being able to give any assistance about getting them out of the house? Thanks in advance.

well I'd just state it clearly in the listing - its your item so you can state that if you want to. I've done it before (you can only collect on so-and-so date and I cant help you and its 'this' heavy etc) and its not been an issue.
Perhaps also ask the bidders (in big red capitals at the top of the listing) to contact you prior to the auction ending to establish that there is a mutual time you can arrange for collection.

Does your council or local charity have a reused/recycled furniture scheme? If you're not looking for money for them, that might be an idea. Then you can phone and explain.
