Adding a BIN price

I'm quite new to selling on eBay so still finding my feet. I've got an item on there at the moment, which has another 5 days left to run. It's got 6 watchers and 9 bids so far. I've seen the same item sell quite frequently, generally for between £45 - 70. Put it on at 99p, no reserve and no BIN price. Someone has messaged me asking whether I have a BIN price. I thought that I can't add one once people have started bidding, is that true? I think I'd rather just leave the auction to run but not sure if that's the best thing to do. Any advice?

You can't add a BIN once you have bids.

You need to weigh up the offer compared to the price you might expect given the interest you have. People often make an offer hoping to get the item cheaper than they expect it to go for.

I personally almost always leave the auction to run - and most times end up with a final price higher than offered.

Thanks WhenDoISleep, I thought that was the case, thanks for confirming it! They haven't actually made me an offer just asked what I would consider. I think I'll just leave it to run. I'm prepared for the fact that it may not sell for as much as I'd like, but I have seen some of them sell for quite a bit more than I was expecting to get. There seems to be lots of interest already (I only put it on a couple of days ago) so imagine it will do OK.
