I have any item on auction that has 3 watchers (only listed it last night) and is due to run for 7 days. I've had an email asking if I have a buy it now price. Is this allowed as long as I have no bidders yet? I think i'm better off letting it run to auction to be honest (it's a boden cardigan which is in excellent condition, worn about twice, and was a sell out at the time if I remember rightly)
do you think I should let the auction run, or offer a buy it now price and perhaps guarantee getting decent price (assuming they want to pay it)

yes it's allowed, the usual consensus is that you are usually better off letting an auction run.

If its a desirable object then tell them you wish to let the auction run to the end. I always start things at 99p to get early bids, especially of I know it will sell.

Cheers, I think I'll just let it run as an auction.

It may be worth asking them what price they had in mind - entirely up to you whether you want to wait and let the auction run though.

a BIN has to be a minimum of 40% more than starting price, email back saying

I think (just name the price you really want) £5 plus postage (or whatever), if that is agreeable to you I will add BIN at 6pm this evening if not i will let auction run

thanks for your enquiry blar blar blar regards Sleepy
