OK I sold a childs outfit. Part was new with tags, the other was in good used condition with an imperfection, the details of which I included in the item description.

I get a message from buyer saying that she wanted to keep the new with tags part but the other part was rubbish and badly damaged beig only fit for a charity shop etc. That I was dishonest etc etc.
She wanted a partial refund and was going to pay half the original winning bid.

I replied sorry she was unhappy but sorry I never give partial refunds but if she were return the entire outfit in its original condition I would give a full refund of both the cost and postage ASAP upon the return of the outfit.

I then got several messages threatening me with a despute. I repeated my offer of a full refund of cost and postage. My last message from her threatened rasing a despute witha few days unless I gave her a partial refund.

I have 100% feedback on a huge number of transactions and alwasy try to do the right thing but this experience has left me wanting not to bother with ebay anymore and sell my stuff at car boots and dress agencies. It's really quite upset me (yep I am soft)

Thoughs anyone?

I'd stick to your guns, stating that the item was as described, you will be happy to send detailed photos to Ebay, and therefore the offer stands to return entire set for refund.
Most likely she'll shut up but if she opens a dispute, so be it. It's incredibly rare for sellers to have 100% feedback nowadays in any case.

Much sympathy, though - it's so hard not to take these things personally!

I agree - full refund upon return or nothing. Stick to your guns and don't let a nasty bully win (easier said than done I know as it is upsetting for you I'm sure).

If she raises a dispute eBay will tell her to return at her expense for a refund - so I would ignore from now on if I were you and let her raise her dispute.

Sh'e just trying it on - prob just wanted the new bit and not the used bit! So she hopes you will cave in. Don't! Stick to your guns. Full refund or nothing! Bet she goes away.
