Help with feedback

hi, I'm pretty new to the eBay world, and ordered a lot of party stuff for my DD last week.
Problem is just with 1 seller. I ordered some fairy cake toppers, and they arrived today, but I've had to pay an additional £1.12 for postage and handling as the 1st class stamp didn't cover to cost. Do I contact the seller and let them know, leave negative feedback or cut my losses? What is the standard form for this?

Many thanks Grin

I find it is always best to contact the seller first and ask them to refund you your additional costs. If they refuse then you can leave neg feedback. It would also be worth checking if you can contact the resolution centre

you need to contact the seller first before leaving a neg - it is only fair to give them a chance to resolve before you leave them back feedback.

*bad feedback!

if they want proof take photo of excess postage label, they should give you partial refund for the £1.12

most sellers are decent, they probably weighed onikitchen scales which are not accurate enough if she refunds quickly( ie within 48 hours as not everyone checks emials everyday) she deserves good feedback otherwise click on resolve a problem and go through resolution centre

ebay or paypal will not grant a partial refund for out of pocket postal expenses though so there is no point in opening a dispute
