Free listing - is it possible to load everything up today but with a later listing date

So, what I want to do is fill in all the forms and details and upload photos, but then have the listing start on Saturday (which I hear is a free listing day), and get them listed for free?
Only because I'm not around on Saturday!

schedule them in your ebay and then go back and manually start the auction when you want them to start :)

SNOWBall4girlz · 19/05/2011 12:35

if you cannot start them yourself each auction will cost 6p and start when you specify it too.

RockinSockBunnies · 19/05/2011 12:36

Yes - when you're listing the item you select the time and date you want the listing to start.

I was thinking of doing the same, but I'm not sure whether it would qualify for the free listing, as effectively you're 'listing' it today, even for it to start on Saturday. I might see if there's any more information on Ebay, as I have a load of stuff I want to get rid of!

SNOWBall4girlz · 19/05/2011 12:40

rockinsockbunnies ....you can schedule it all but will get charged 6 p per auction but no other listing fees . I am doing this as not around sat or sunday myself :)

StealthPolarBear · 19/05/2011 12:42

they do these freelisting weekends fairly regularly - at least one every coupld of months I'd say.
I'm also hoping to tkae advantage of this weekend's

KaraStarbuckThrace · 20/05/2011 07:47

I use Turbo Lister, put all the info on there and then when I want to start the listing, I just upload them when I want to start them.
So if I wanted to take advantage of the free listing day, then I would put everything on Turbo Lister today, and then upload to ebay tomorrow.

I think (but I could be wrong) that ebay charge you for scheduled listings.

chrisonabike · 20/05/2011 07:51

indeed - sixpence to specify a start time.

chrisonabike · 20/05/2011 07:51

FFS sixpence

sixlostmonkeys · 20/05/2011 09:28

you don't qualify for the free listing if you use turbo lister

PrincessOfWails · 20/05/2011 10:45

You do sixlostmonkeys - I have done it before and got the free listing.

KaraStarbuckThrace - in the distant past you did, but not recently. Announcement specifically excludes turbo lister...

You used to be allowed to use turbo lister on free listing weekends but not anymore.
With scheduling, I schedule items to start another day but then edit it to list now when I want them to start. You don't get charged 6p then.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 20/05/2011 17:20

Thanks for that Purple. It was quite recently that changed as I got the free listing a couple of months ago though.

Stuff like this does piss me off about Ebay!
I will probably not bother trying to list this weekend in that case!
