Selling problems

I am relatively new to selling on ebay but I have sold a few things recently due to lack of space in the house since DD came along, mostly computer games, DVDs and clothes that no longer fit. One of the things that I sold was a bikini which ended earlier on today and sold for a couple of pounds. I had said in the item description that I would post to the UK and calculated the postage amount according to this. I have now had a email from the winning bidder to say that they are actually in France and can I post to there instead, they have told me that it will be about 50p more than my stated postage amount to post it there. I have no idea how to change the postage amount from the amount I originally stated in the auction and also have no intention of trailing up to the post office to check whether their postage estimate is accurate and I am pretty annoyed with them for their presumtion that this would be fine, they had a whole week while the auction was running to contact me and ask if I was willing to post abroad. I have emailed them back and told them that if they cannot provide a UK postage address I will be relisting, in fact I think I would actually send a second chance offer to the next highest bidder, does this seem reasonable?

If you stated only Uk postage then they should of asked first if you were happy to post to france. But this has happened to me quite alot too.
If you do decide to post to them check postage cost first and email them to make sure they are happy before you post. Incase they change their minds after its been sent.
If you have kitchen scales at home you can weigh the bikini & packaging and find out the cost on the royal mail website, saves you going to the post office.
You should be able to change the postage cost on the invoice I think buut I might be wrong. But definately check cost first as you dont want to be out of pocket.

If they are paying you by Paypal, tell them you will ONLY post to the address that they have registered with Paypal. That's the only way you're covered by the Paypal rules.

She has now said that she doesn't have a UK address and if I won't post overseas she won't be paying. I have made a second chance offer to the next highest bidder and have contacted ebay customer services who have agreed that I am in the right and that if the second chance bidder doesn't want the item they will do an unpaid item dispute for me and get my fees refunded.
