Can anyone advise on using a courier?

Hi, I want to sell the carrycot, seat unit, liner and hood for a M&P Herbie Pram. It's all in excellent condition and the seat fabrics have never been used.

I am a complete novice and could do with some advice on postage. I do still have the original pram box so could package in that. How do you arrange a courier? Do they come to your house to collect or do you take to the post office Blush I have no idea.

Is there a specific courier which anyone could recommend.

Thanks.

If you sell for above £41.00 you need to send signed for and use a postage method that shows the signature online, you need this in case of a non receipt dispute via eBay.

Parcelforce 24/48 collect from your house but you would need to know the weight. Pack it all in the box and weigh it on bathroom scales find out the kg weight.

Then go to the Parcelforce website and get a price so you can put it on the auction.

I've used Parcel2go recently and it's great. Box up the carrycot and bits, measure the box. Put the details into the site and they'll bring up loads of couriers and their quotes.

They will come to your house and collect it for you. I used DHL last time and they were great.. perhaps avoid Home Delivery Network as I know many many people who've had problems with them (echo'd on MN as well)

Try p4d.co.uk Depending on size of parcel you can send via DHL for as little as £8.50 inc VAT. Insured up to £50 but you can select extra insurance for £2.

No documents to print either Grin

I use them at least once a week, cheap and reliable.
