Hi

Hoping someone can help, although i have bought though ebay for years i am new to selling.

Firstly, i have sold my first 2 items Smile however i have discovered that my printer is out of ink. Do i need to print off labels?

Second, i have a watch ending in 2 days, i have 9 watchers and 3 bids. The current winning bid is from someone with no feedback. I think i remember reading somewhere that that was bad? If so should i cancel their bid?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You only need to print out labels if you want to do pay for postage online, oterwise write on the envelope and take it to the PO!

If you haven't stated don't bid if you don't have feedback then imo it's unfair to cancel

Thanks snotgobbler You're a star Smile

I thought that all bidders at sometime had nil feedback, so everyones got to start somewhere. But was worried about possible scams. Will leave it though. Any tips for picking up any scams?

Thanks

not sure how to stop scams.. BUT to cover yourself only post the item once the payment has cleared and paypal tell you so. ALSO only post to the address paypal give you, this should be a verified address, which means paypal have confirmed it via banking details (iirc).

Sdaly there are ways that you can be scammed even after payment received and item delivered. Dh was scammed, a stolen credit card was used and he (i believe) posted it to the given address) only to be advised weeks later it was a stolen card.

No idea if the item was intercepted by whoever used the stolen card etc..? BUT dh ended up out of pocket around £350.Sad.

So, my personal reccomendations is not to sell expensive items.

I now only sell items that I could afford to loose iykwim. Under £20/£30 unless its an item to be collected then I will sell higher priced.

BUT that said, im prob not best for ebay advice atm as I have had 2 sales where the buyer is causing me grief. Receiving item and saying it not in the condition I said.Sad. I have over 390 feedback and 100% so its a shame that these 2 sales feel maybe I have duped them... I haven't, I just think im unlucky in that I have 2 buyers who obviously are out to cause trouble and to be get reduction on the item....Sad.

Beware and don't let ebay stress you out.. Its not worth it ! You may laugh at that comment, BUT beleive me.... you will in the future look at emails received from ebayers and have smoke appearing from your ears HmmWink

Good luck x

yes, so do I. TBH I am thinking of staying away from ebay for a while now.. I do it now and then when it seems that I am being targets by all the ebay nutters !

Thing with ebay is that some people want the crown jewels for £1 and even then if they got them they would still fecking complain Hmm.

The address does not have to be verified to be safe. All payments received to you from PayPal for eBay purchases have seller protection.

If you have listed a mobile then I personally would remove the bid of the zero feedback bidder and block them from bidding.
