Increasing postage for a purchaser abroad?

I've just had a message regarding one of my items from a lady in Spain who would like too bid on my item which I have listed as UK only.

As I am happy to post it to her, how do I go about increasing the postage for her only?

Or do I just ask her to pay extra on paypal? Is that possible?

Thanks.

easiest is to work out the postage to spain - use royal mail
and the add additional postage to the listing, specifying down to spain...

I had a purchaser from Singapore for an item listed with only uk postage specified. It just asked at invoice time for a postage amount to be entered.

that is where you need to set your bidder preferences in the listing too....

Many, many times when I have specified UK BIDS ONLY, I have had to send items to Azerbaijan, Spain, and Germnay.

What I generallly do is add the extra postage to "send payment details" or email the buyer and ststae that postage to XXX will cost this much more.

They are usually pretty good at sendning or as Lunar said, they usually ask the postage before paying which is the easieat way.

If she wins you increase the postage on the invoice you send at the end of auction.

You just type in the postage you want, do not press recalculate and send.

People annoy me when they do this, so much so that I now write on the description, 'please note that I only post within UK'. I tell them that I will charge whatever is extra and do it the way FabbyChic describes.

Lamorna- I agree but some buyers ignore that and bid anyway! so annoying...

So true....

had two people bid from outside the uk back in November when we had the bad snow. Both put claims in to say they have not received...lost out on £50...
