look on completed listings on ebay to see if your items sell and for how much.
Anything that doesn't really sell well, maybe a low value item with high postage: send to a good charity shop.
Bin - broken, dirty etc. recycle? break down into parts and sell the parts?

I think you can ebay most things really as long as they are not complete tat or broken and you are honest in your listings

I would sell individual items of clothing that were expensive new such as nice dresses, coats, anything designer or good quality high street. Divide children's clothing into bundles and also adults clothes that are nice but nothing special.

Kids toys will sell well this time of year if they are in good condition and could feasibly be given as Xmas presents.

Furniture and appliances always sell well - you can list as collection only. Alternatively, you can put up a card in your local post office/corner shop.

Gather up everything else- books, knick knacks, bric a brac, small toys, household paraphenalia and offer it as a car boot job lot and if you have nice things on offer, take good photos and give a good description, you might make a fair bit.

Good luck

Even broken stuff sells, well electronics.

I just sold two Nintendo DS's for ~£15/e for parts spares/repairs and a Nitendo DS Lite for £30 for parts. Also I sold a broken sat nav for £10 and am planning on putting on a broken portable DVD player and two broken netbooks, all for parts.
[must be a very clumsy family]
