I realise this is my own fault for not checking the listing but hey....
I sold a baby coat for £4 on Sunday. I put in the usual bit about overseas buyers asking for postage costs before bidding and that I send everything signed for to stop things getting lost. The woman who won did not pay instantly so I was preparing an invoice and to my horror saw she is in Slovakia - the postage is £6.90 airsure! Oh dear.
I sent the invoice and, as expected, got the reply that parcels to Slovakia are usually £2 and she would pay £3.50 but that the costs were unreasonable. I replied saying my listing was clear about the signed for part and I was surprised she was abroad as she did not get in touch in advance as requested. I asked her to let me know if she still wanted the coat on these terms.
She's now replied saying she would love th coat but only as a small (unsigned for) package. She said she realised her mistake but blamed language. Should I just take the hit and keep fingers crossed that it arrives - but I'd have to refund her the £7.50 if she says it did not and I'd have no proof. Or should I just cancel the transaction.
I will put a block on overseas buyers from now on as the post is horrific!
Thanks
