To cut a long story short i purchased a pair of shoes on ebay which the seller sent next day signed for.
They didnt arrive so i asked the seller for a tracking number which online showed the item had been delivered.
It also shows the signature of the person who has signed for it and their name.NOT ME!! Angry

Obviously the bloody postman has taken it to the wrong house. It is not with any of my neighbours as i have checked.

I have been to the post office who have said to leave it to them but its not hopeful.

Where do i take it from here? Is there any chance they will be able to track down where they dropped them off and get them back?
If not how do i go about getting my money back?

thanks

I think seller is legally obliged to get it to you, so problem is really theirs. I would pester seller to sort this out; they have the grievance to claim with Royal Mail.

I agree - it's not your fault - and even though technically it's not sellers fault - put it all into a different perspective - if you ordered something from a big dept store, and this happened - they'd be the ones hunting the parcel not you.

I'd email them nad explain that you've asked around, etc - and she needs to find parcel for you/deal with post office or refund you.

What a crapper though!

ask for a copy of the receipt - then you can check the right details were on the parcel - you know that their IS a receipt for your address, as it will be printed on the receipt from PO if sent recorded. Happened to me before, seller had actually written wrong address on my package!

This happened to my friend and was a complete scam. In her case it was a phone. she asked for the proof of postage. This only needs to confirm the postcode.

The item was delivered to a different house in her street, she only found out as her neighbour mentioned that she has received an odd package. This package turned out to be the ebay one. It was a box with a piece of wood in it. no name on the package but just the address.

The sender sent it to the wrong address on purpose hoping they would not be found out and used the proof of postage to ensure that he would not have to refund the item

My friend has now put it into dispute but it is a well known scam. she has now had a full refund thru paypal.

cheeky gits! There should be the house number or name on the receipt too though
