Hi there, a potential buyer has just contacted me about one of my auctions that just ended. Apparently her computer died as she was about to bid on it and she has just asked me if I will sell her the item at the list price (£3.50) plus P&P and send her an invoice via PayPal?

Should I do this? Is it too dodgy or because it's via PayPal would I be covered?

Any advice welcome thank you!

were there no bids on the item?

Cyclops · 29/09/2010 15:01

no, I had one watcher but no actual bids.

i think it is free to re-list if it didn't sell? I haven't done ebay for a while, but maybe check that out and you may find you get several bids?

Actually, not sure about the re-list being free, perhaps someone can clarify?

Cyclops · 29/09/2010 15:39

Yes, you are right, it is free to relist, so I will do that, many thanks.

Would be better to just raise a Paypal invoice; then you don't have to pay ebay fees.

You would be completely covered by Paypal as normal. I have done this a few times before on both sides. Smile

that may be the better option. Just thought the OP may get a few more bids this time around.

Thanks for your replies, I've relisted it now so let's hope for some more interest next time around!

It's only free to re-list if it sells. If item sells they refund your listing fee but don't if it doesn't :)
